Here is a short extract from 'Memorial' composed by Jacqui Rutten, a setting of Victimae Paschali Laudes, an Easter chant, in a pastorale featuring birdsong. This is a work of peace not war, and was premiered in the Dandenong Ranges, Australia where the traditional owners are the Wurundjeri. This performance was recorded by Timothy Lawrence, performed by the Dandenong Ranges Orchestra with Veronica Mitchell, soprano, and John Collins conducting:
Critic Bill Pell attended a performance of the Dandenong Ranges Orchestra and you can find his review here.
